TickerTalker ("we", "us") operates a website at which you can subscribe to the TickerTalker Pro plan, and a browser extension (the "Extension"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. We aim to collect the minimum needed to provide the service.
The TickerTalker Extension
The Extension runs entirely inside your browser. It does not collect, transmit, or store your personal data or your browsing activity. It reads the text on the page you are viewing — only within the area you select — and converts it to speech using your device's built-in text-to-speech. No page content, selections, or audio are sent to our servers. Settings (selection box, interval, voice preferences) are stored locally in your browser's storage.
Account information
To subscribe to Pro or manage your subscription, you create an account with your email address. We store the email address you register with and your subscription status. We do not require your real name, but you may provide one.
Payment information
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your full card number or other sensitive payment details on our servers. The payment provider shares with us the information needed to fulfill your order (such as confirmation of payment, the amount, and a subscription identifier) so we can activate and manage your access.
