Acceptance of these terms
By downloading the TickerTalker Extension, using our website, or subscribing to TickerTalker Pro, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
TickerTalker is a browser extension that lets you select an area of a web page and hear the text inside it spoken aloud when it changes, together with a website that lets you manage a subscription. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the service. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Your account
To subscribe to Pro you must create an account and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity on your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Subscriptions and billing
TickerTalker Pro is offered as a recurring subscription (monthly or yearly). Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. The price is shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Taxes may apply. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the recurring fees to your payment method through our payment provider.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation turns off auto-renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide partial refunds for unused time within a paid period except where required by law.
Refunds
If you believe you were charged in error, contact us through the support channel on the website. Refunds, where applicable, are issued at our discretion and in accordance with applicable law.
Payment processing
Payments are handled by our third-party payment provider. The provider's terms apply to your use of its checkout. We receive only the information needed to activate and manage your subscription.
No financial advice
TickerTalker is a productivity and accessibility tool. It reads values that appear on web pages you choose to monitor. It is NOT financial, investment, trading, or tax advice. Prices and other data shown on third-party sites may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete. You must independently verify any information before making financial decisions. You are solely responsible for any trading or other decisions you make, and for any gains or losses you may experience. We are not a broker, advisor, or exchange.
No guarantee of data accuracy or availability
We do not control the content of third-party web pages. The Extension relies on the structure of those pages, which can change at any time and may cause it to stop reading a particular value. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any value will be read correctly or on time.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the service, including: using it to scrape or redistribute data in violation of a third party's terms; reverse-engineering, decompiling, or redistributing the Extension beyond the rights granted to you; circumventing billing or access controls; or using the service for any unlawful purpose.
Intellectual property
We own the service, including the Extension and website, and all related intellectual property. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our names, logos, or content except as needed to use the service as intended.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements or be available at all times.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, neither we nor our affiliates, providers, or officers shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, trading losses, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to the service — whether based on contract, tort, or any other theory — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the one month preceding the claim, or, if you have not paid, to USD $5.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service or your violation of these Terms or any third party's rights (including a third-party website's terms of service).
Termination
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if we discontinue a feature, or as required by law. Pro features end when your subscription ends or is canceled.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and, for material changes, provide notice where appropriate. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service is made available, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, though either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect intellectual property.
